School Feeding Project

children with their school meals Every morning, Aminata Koroma visits all classes of the "War Wounded Community Primary School Grafton" to find out how many children attend school that day. After this, she starts to weigh the rice and to prepare the school meal together with one or two assistants.
At noon, elder children bring bowls with rice and sauce to all classrooms. Because of this, these children do not have to study with empty stomachs, or find ways to make their own living. schoolmeals in the classroom In October 2004, the foundation started to provide school meals with a monthly donation of € 430. This amount was raised step by step up to roughly € 1000 in 2009 to improve the quality of the meals. Part of this monthly gift is donated by people in The Netherlands and England on a regular basis, the rest is raised by activities as "Food for Food", the sale of second hand goods and one time activities of various organisations.
